  • Sumit Singh on "[Plugin: WP Extended Search] Search in media Library doesn't work"

  • gazettcoMemberPosted 3 months ago # Hi, Thanks for reporting this.I recently added support for AJAX calls. So currently WPES is modifying media search too. And I am assuming in WPES settings you've excluded media post type so it is not displaying results. This will be fixed in next release. For now you can add this patch in your theme functions.php file. /** * Disblae WPES on media library search * @param type $enabled * @retu boolean */ function disbale_wpes_on_media_search($enabled) { if ((defined('DOING_AJAX') && DOING_AJAX) && isset($_REQUEST['action']) && $_REQUEST['action'] == 'query-attachments') { retu false; } retu $enabled; } add_filter('wpes_enabled', 'disbale_wpes_on_media_search'); gazettcoMemberPosted 3 months ago # Thanks, patch is working . Search and Library are working as well. When plugin will be updated , Do I rollback patch form function.php ? Hi, After plugin update patch will be inactive. Keeping it there will not harm anything but removing it will be better.I will let you once there will be updated version. Thanks thomaseklofMemberPosted 1 month ago # Hi, I have the same problem after the update from wordpress. Can you help me with this? //Thomas This will be fixed in next release. • Brajesh Singh on "Issue with menu toggle in twenty fourteen, W3TC, and MediaPress"

  • jeremywestonMemberPosted 4 days ago # Hello, I've run into an issue with my site using MediaPress. When I activate MediaPress on my Twenty Fourteen site, I cannot toggle the menu dropdown on mobile. (Twenty Fourteen switches to a mobile layout with a toggled top menu in smaller screens). When I have MediaPress enabled, I cannot toggle the menu. When clicked, nothing happens. However, this only happens on cached pages with W3TC. When I am logged in to my site, the menu works fine (I am not being served cache when logged in). Could you help me solve this? https://wordpress.org/plugins/mediapress/ Hi,It is most probably caused by some javascript error. Did you try clearing all cache(browser, db etc) after activating MediaPress? Please let me know if you have already done it and I will investigate more. Thank youBrajesh jeremywestonMemberPosted 4 days ago # Brajesh, Yes I did indeed try clearing all of my caching. Hi,I am sorry I could not follow up. Can you please post the link here or PM me the link on my site. Thank youBrajesh Let's block ads! بخوانید, ...ادامه مطلب

  • Gagan Deep Singh on "[Plugin: Shortcodes in Menus] Two bugs"

  • Hello, This plugin is what I expected but: - You can not edit a shortcode because it is invisible after it was created in the menu - If I use an image with a transparent background, the picture is displayed with a white background. Thanks https://wordpress.org/plugins/shortcode-in-menus/ @mengeco About not being able to edit a shortcode, try clicking on the "Screen Options" and then select the "Description" option. That will put the shortcode in the description section of that menu item. About the transparent image, it should be taking up the background of the menu item. So if you have navigation menus white, you'll have white background. Let's block ads! بخوانید, ...ادامه مطلب

  • Brajesh Singh on "[Plugin: MediaPress] Is it possible to change document types?"

  • BirchwindMemberPosted 2 months ago # Hi, I rely quite a bit on document sharing for the group. However most of us use either Rich Text Format or Open Office so that anyone can easily read and download the material. Is there a way to increase the document types that we are able to upload? https://wordpress.org/plugins/mediapress/ Hi,Thank you for asking.Yes, you can easily allow any file type. Please take a look at the media type settings in general tab as shown herehttp://buddydev.com/mediapress/topics/getting-started/settings-options/general-settings/#type Make sure you keep the documents enabled and below that you can set the file types(extensions). If you only need document type for groups, you can disable it from component pages for other components(users, sitewide). We have included the google doc viewer with MediaPress that allows almost all file type to be easily viewable. Please give it a try and let me know how it goes. Thank youBrajesh Hi,Just checking if you were you able to use the files of your choice or not? Please do let me know if you need further help. Thank youBrajesh Hi,Hope you are doing well.Have you had a chance to try the settings? Thank youBrajesh Hi Brajesh pdf doesn't work for me (extension pdf is added). The notification I receive is that the file type is not allowed for security reasons. This is very strange, because I have already two pdfs uploaded with the beta version. Besides this the plugin is excellent; many thanks! Hi George,Thank you. Are you on multisite? I have seen it happening in some of the multisites. Please visit Network Admin->Settings and make sure to add the extension there. Does that fixes it? No, I am not on multisite and, unfortunately, I cannot figure out the source of the problem. Could it be a conflict with another plugin? (I have about 40 plugins ...) It has a conflict with this plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/bp-portfolio/ I deactivated that portfolio (searchi, ...ادامه مطلب

  • Brajesh Singh on "[Plugin: MediaPress] Admin unable to delete own images?"

  • Hi there, First of all, excellent plugin! This is exactly what we needed. Just one small thing, I had set up galleries for my client and they were testing them out, uploading a few images to see how it worked. But then they wanted to remove the test images, and they were unable to. They said it gave an error, both on the gallery page and in the admin area. It wouldn't allow them to delete the image that they had uploaded, they think because I created the gallery under another admin account. I don't see anything in the documentation or settings about disallowing other users from editing or deleting their own images. Is there any way we can enable this so the users will be able to make changes to the gallery? Thanks,Rory https://wordpress.org/plugins/mediapress/ Let's block ads! بخوانید, ...ادامه مطلب

  • Brajesh Singh on "[Plugin: MediaPress] Restrict certain user roles from commenting on galleries"

  • unuigbeeMemberPosted 21 hours ago # Hi, I'd like restrict certain users from commenting on galleries in group galleries and in the lightbox for a particular gallery. I've been trying to use these BuddyPress filters bp_get_activity_comment_form_action and bp_get_activity_comment_link combined with 'current_user_can' to achieve this. But I haven't been successful. Guidance would be much appreciated. Regards,Emmanuel https://wordpress.org/plugins/mediapress/ Hi Emmanuel, It is possible to do so by filtering on 'mpp_settings' and updating the value for this key'enable_gallery_comment' based on role. Please give it a try and let me know if that works for you or not? unuigbeeMemberPosted 9 minutes ago # I tried this but wasn't successful. What is the signature of mmp_settings. Was i a bit naive with my code? function custom_comment_restrict($keys){ if(!current_user_can('access_s2member_level1')){ $keys['enable_gallery_comment'] = false; } retu $keys; } add_filter('mpp_settings', 'custom_comment_restrict'); That should have worked. Can you please check for subscriber role the same thing? • Brajesh Singh on "[Plugin: MediaPress] Space management for groups"

  • I think that under "Enable Gallery", the groupe creator could be able to only see (not update) the quota (and the use of space), for example: You have <span> %1s%%</span> of your %2s space left so they can take decisions about space management. Near the quota you could add a notice : "Contact the admin if you need more space" because the site admin could not know the needs of every group. Practically the site admin could set a default quota in the dashboard settings (as it is now) and then they could update it from the group settings if group creators ask more. Group creators should not be able to update, because they don't know siteadmin's hosting plan, except if you add an option in the group settings "Let group admin update the quota" and you check it yourself in case you trust the group admin. An alteative solution is that the space is autoajusted according to the number of members until a maximum quota you set in the dashboard settings. That's my opinion and thanks for your quick response!
