The top of the page has a photo slider, below that is a blank space (that says the word "Home"), followed by a Yellow bar going the width of the window. A similar thing is happening at the bottom of the page - below the "Contact Us" is a blank area, followed by a small black bar. It is those blank areas (the one that says "Home" at the top of the page, and the one below the "Contact Us") that I am trying to get rid of. I figure this would work with CSS, but I am VERY un-knowledgeable in that area. Any help would be greatly appreciated. After updating to WordPress 4.6, my wordpress admin has become so slow. However, sometimes, it's goes back to regular speed too. I decided to test if it was a plugin issue but soon realized the inconsistencies in the results when testing. Eg. I deactivated all the plugins. Even before activating one plugin at a time, I started testing by clicking on tabs. Sometimes it loads fast, sometimes it loads slow. I tried to click on the same tabs eg post. Sometimes it takes 2 secs to load, at times it takes more than 10 secs.Since the problem exists even when all plugins are deactivated, does it mean it's not a plugin issue? My website is also sometimes fast and sometimes slow but not necessarily the same time as when the wordpress admin is slow or fast. About the theme: Are you asking for help regarding the looks of your blog? That depends on what you wish to put there. If there are more photos, you'll need a different theme than one with lot of writing. There are many themes (free and paid), you can see what you like and try few of them, that'll help you make the decision. I'm in the process of trying to set up multisite. I am unable to sync my users on my sub-domains. All Users show up in my Dashboard of the main site, BUT in phpMyAdmin wp-users there is only one user listed. I'm not understanding how they can all show up on the Dashboard when they are not listed in wp-users. Any ideas? First off, are you 100% certain you've logged in to the same database? Boy, you're sharp!!!! I am just in the process of finding that I had two databases that were very similar bbvsf_user and bbsvf_users I have deleted the one that only had me in it, but now I'm trying to figure out how to get the sites to find the correct one. I'm reinstalling user-sync plugin but so far no luck. Thank you! If you are using cPanel, there should a list of all your databases for your review. unhcareercenterMemberPosted 1 hour ago # on my website http://www.unhcareercenter.com I must have accidentally pressed something and the widget and sidebar page is locked. When I go on, the theme sidebars are gone alltogether. Only my custom sidebars remain and they are locked. I cannot open them or edit the content in them. They are up on the pages they belong to. The widgets will not drag over to make custom sidebars. I have an aspect 2011 theme. The "new sidebar" button is gone. I can't do anything. The page is just stuck as it is. No editing or changing or deleting anything. I am freaking out and I need help. I would even be okay setting back the default sidebar/widget page. At least I could start over. I really need help. I don't know what happened. I must have accidentally pressed something accidentally pressed something where? Theme files? core files? I have an aspect 2011 theme. So, pardon me if the question I'm asking following isn't really an issue to you. Thanks for understanding. Recently I found my WIDGETS often go wrong or disappeared automatically. By that, I meant widgets can go empty with "NO ONE CHANGES THE SETTING"(I'm the only one who has the access). It's really been a pain in eye because I have to redo all drag and drop over again and agin to make the site looks like exact as how it was before. What a waste on time!! The 2 questions I'm gonna ask are: Why/What can be the reason for this situation? Any method to lock present status of widgets to avoid this situation happens again? The easiest way is to rename that folder to mu-plugins-old.- switching to the unedited default Theme (Twenty Sixteen, etc.) for a moment using the WP dashboard to rule out any theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins). If you don't have access to your admin area, use FTP , or your web-host's cPanel or whatever file management application your host provides (no Dashboard access required). Navigate to /wp-content/themes/ and switch to the default theme by renaming your current theme's folder by adding "-old" to the end of the folder name.
