joinfof on "[Plugin: The Events Calendar] "View all events" gets 404 error"

ساخت وبلاگ

Here is the site: http://ourladyofhungary.com/
Wherever I click "View All Events", it goes to this page: http://ourladyofhungary.com/events/ and gets an "Error 404 - File Not Found".
I've tried changing permalink settings, other event settings, and changing the permalink on the events page as well as deactivating plugins. I even created a blank events page and the plugin just detected a URL conflict instead of adjusting. The events page, according to what I can see (and how other plugins act) should automatically be generated by the plugin, but it's not happening for some reason.

I would just as soon tu off this link as it really isn't necessary for this site anyway. How can I either fix this or tu off this link?

thanks,
Kristi

Hello and thanks for posting,

If you have created a page with the same slug as your Events URL slug setting found under Events > Settings, then delete the page. Our plugin creates an archive-like page for your events, so you do not need to create a page for listing events.

One other bit of info that might be helpful would be reading this Fixing HTTP 404 errors article found in our Knowledgebase.

Thanks again for the post and I look forward to getting this resolved with you :-)

Hi! Thanks for responding - I tried your solutions above but it isn't helping. I don't have any other pages with the events URL slug - I had just tested a page called events, but deleted it after I saw it didn't help. I also did the 404 tweeks, pasting the snippets in the functions.php file, but that still didn't do anything. To be clear though, I was editing the wp-includes/functions.php file - was that correct?

Please let me know if there is anything else I can try - thanks so much!
Kristi

I think I fixed it! I went to the settings page:
Events Settings / General Tab
I went to the 'Events URL slug' and just thought I would try renaming the slug. I renamed it Eventss (just added another 's' to the end), saved and now the "View all events" links work! Whew!!

Welcome back,

Glad to hear you got it working! For future reference, you typically want to edit your theme's functions.php file, usually located in your theme folder (wp-content/themes).

Enjoy the remainder of your week and thanks for choosing TEC :-)
