I am just curious, if for example you don't want to host your digital products on a site like DropBox and use the DropBox extension with EDD, is it possible to host your digital products on your own web server?

And in this case will EDD still create secure/scrambled download links for the product buyer that expire (as per your settings) so that people don't get a direct download link to where the file is on your server?

Also, if you put the files on your server in a password protected folder, would EDD be able to create links to access that folder with password access settings?

If you don't put the files in a secure folder on your own server then you still expose yourself to people being able to download your files from your server for free.
