finnj on "[Plugin: Frontier Post] Exclude categories Settings appearing as changed, but not reflected on site"

On frontier post settings page, I have excluded two categories from been posted in, via frontier post plugin, but users with the author role can still see the categories at the site frontend and post to the categories as well.

What may be wrong?

I am using thee most recent version of the plugin and I have cleared my cache.

Hi, just double checked, and it works on my sites.

Frontier Post does not restrict users from seeing the categories, only post in them.

In Frontier Post advanced settings you can add the id collum to the category listing, so you can get the right id's

Frontier Post will only restrict the values in the category list on the Frontier Pist add/edit post screen (not backend)

Frontier post does restrict users from seeing the categories when you exclude categories on the 'Frontier Post Settings' page and on the 'Frontier Post - Capabilities & Role based settings', you select multi select for Category Layout. For single select category layout option, the excluded categories are visible from the front end.

Test with single select category layout option after excluding a category and you observe what I am reporting. Why is this so?

SO long as a user can see and select a category, then he can post in that category. I have experienced that during my test!!

Sorry, you seem to be correct, will do some more checking

OK checked again and it seems to work, can IO ask you to do the following

Please double check that you are excluding the right category ID's

- Take a screen shot of the settings screen showing the excluded categories
- Take a screen shot of you category screen, where both the name and ID collum is shown
- Take a screenshot of the Frontier Post form showing the excluded categories.
- Link the screen shot here
