Ronald Huereca on "Easy Updates Manager Notification Email Address"

On every site that I have EUM installed I have set the Notification E-mail in the settings, however, the notification emails still go to the admin email.

I did some investigating and the notification email should be able to be be changed using the auto_core_update_email filter. To test further I did the following:

1. Within the EUM plugin I located the maybe_change_automatic_update_email which should be triggered by the auto_core_update_email filter and I placed a php error_log statement to log that the function had been triggered. No entries were created to the log.

2. Within my functions.php file I created my own filter function to be triggered by the auto_core_update_email filter which included a error_log statement to log that the function had been triggered. No entries were created to the log.

As it appeared that the auto_core_update_email was not firing these functions I investigated to see if there was another plugin which may have been the cause. I did a full search of 3 of my sites for auto_core_update_email and apart from the WP core function (in file class-wp-upgrader.php) the only other plugin (or theme) to be using the filter was EUM.

Finding no other plugin / theme at fault, I installed EUM on a clean WP 4.5.2 install and tested and the notification email was sent to admin instead of the entered email address in the settings.

As a result I am now at a loss as to why the auto_core_update_email filter is not working. This is true on 12 sites (4 WPMU, 8 stand alone). The websites are on different hosts all running WP 4.5.2

I am very curious to know if this is something that others are experiencing, and if so, does anyone have any suggestions as to what is going on and how to fix it?
