kpgraham on "[Plugin: Stop Spammers Spam Prevention] Allow Requests"

ساخت وبلاگ

We run a woocommerce store and we're constantly getting allow requests. A lot of people use VPNs. I don't think a spammer has ever asked to be allowed. Is there any advice on how to minimize this? Maybe a checkmark to autoaccept allow requests?

We have google captcha set up but it seems like people aren't using it to override the spam protection. Or maybe we set it up wrong?

Stop Spammers is not really compatible with Woo Commerce.

In order to get to to work you have to tu off all the checks on email, user name, and Idea. You can only use the options that have IP checks.

Woo Commerce does not use standard login or comment forms and the plugin attempts to check the user based on what it guesses. Tuing off checks on email address, etc. will let plugin check against the spam databases and nothing else.

Users using a VPN to hide their identity will probably be rejected because spammers use VPNs to hide who they are and as a result most VPN ip addresses are already marked bad in spam databases.

Thanks for taking the time Keith. I think it does work great with woocommerce. It's just the occasional block on users using VPNs. These users almost always request to be allowed, whereas spammers never do. If there was a way to automatically accept allow requests, or allow captcha to override the block that would be perfect.

The captcha should allow the user to continue, but it probably uses the WordPress standard forms and doesn't continue to the woo commerce versions.
