Another update -- I've figured out some things but have some new questions. So please disregard the above and let me summarize the situation currently.

I got the gallery to show up on the home page, but there are some issues:
-One of the gallery posts gives me a 404 page not found when I click on it, but it does not appear that I've set it up any differently than the others.
-The photo descriptions show up in a list format beneath the gallery description. They are not associated with any photo, but are instead just listed in kind of a mess on the page on the left side undeeath the gallery copy. How do I get those to show up as captions on the photos instead?

I would still like to remove the About link (titled 'mountain sun and greens' on my website) on the top navigation. Is there a way to do this? No need to add the gallery in there, as I had requested above. Now that the gallery shows up on the home page, I shouldn't need to do that once I resolve the current issues.
