Hi all,

I'm trying to ensure I have the padlock with my SSL certificate in the HTTPS part of my blog: mlsgb.com.

However, after running a check on whynopadlock.com, I can see there is one insecure URL that is preventing this from running as it should.

The details are:

Insecure URL: http://mlsgbdotcom.files.wordpress.com/2015/02/newsnow-logo.gif
Found in: https://mlsgb.com/

To me, that appears as though the insecure URL comes from the old WordPress.com files. Do you know how I can remove this URL from the FTP of my self-hosted blog to get the HTTPS up and running correctly?

Any help would be really useful as I have no idea where to look for this!

Thanks!

You are correct. It seems to be the sidebar widget "News Now". Try either removing and re-setting it, or see if it has a setting to reset the image.

Thanks for helping out with that.

It might sound silly, but how exactly do I remove that piece of code:

<img src="http://mlsgbdotcom.files.wordpress.com/2015/02/newsnow-logo.gif" alt="As featured on NewsNow: Major League Soccer news" style="display:block;margin:0;padding:0;border:0;width:160px;height:50px;">

Do I need to do that through the FTP? If so, where will I find that?

It's a sidebar widget, so go to Appearance -> Widgets in your site's Dashboard and make the change there.
