wdong77 on "[Plugin: Recent Posts Widget With Thumbnails] Download and activated plugin but thumbnails aren't appearing"

I recently downloaded this plugin. I followed the instruction placed on the installation section. However, none of my articles (which all have featured photos) have thumbnails that appear on my home page, or any page of mine. Can someone guide me or help me in fixing this problem.

Please do not use the widget "Recent Posts" but "Recent Posts With Thumbnails".

I am using Recent Posts with Thumbnails. After installing it and placing the widget on the home page, is there another step that I am supposed to do?

I tried to update a recent post to see if the thumbnail would appear, but nothing changed.

You are still using the widget "Recent Posts". Where is the widget "Recent posts with thumbnails"?

The plugun that I have says "Recent posts with thumbnails" can you provide with this link that you are mentioning? Since you say I'm not using the correct one.

Did you move on the Widgets page in the backend the widget "Recent posts with thumbnails" into the widget area? Dumb question, but we have to make things clear first.

Did you empty any cache of your WP installation?

No I did not, was I supposed to? I'm kind of new to wordpress.

So please let someone show you the usage of WP.

Well that's why I'm asking the creator of this plugin...Haven't had any problems until now.

I don't have featured image so I picked Try to use the post's first image if post has no featured image?

I am using a child theme and twenty sixteen is a parent theme.

Any ideas?

I am sorry, I just thought that the problem is exactly the same and it should be helpful for the community to see the one problem in one place.
May I wait for Martin to see what the problem is so the post owner and I might get an idea why this plugin didn't work on his site?
