Jordy Meow on "[Plugin: WP/LR Sync] Sync with Photography Theme"

Hi,

I am trying to sync lightroom folders to the Photography theme by Theme Goods. Right now the LR plugin is publishing images to the main input field in the theme's gallery posts. For the images to actually appear on the site the images need to go into a custom field called "Gallery Images" that lives within the Gallery post. Can you instruct me on achieving this functionality?

Hello Dave,

WP/LR Sync comes with the extension "Post Types" and I think you had a look at it. It seems that wouldn't be enough because your theme is using a custom field and we would need a specific extension made for that specific theme. It requires some work :)

I don't have this theme and I also don't know the developers. Since you are their customer, could you drop them a message, asking if they would be willing to work together (that wouldn't take that much time) to make my plugin and their theme(s) play nicely together?

Sorry, I should have been more specific. It was the email and personal name. Thanks for redacting. Can you delete that entire entry? In the future I will take threads like this to a private channel if I need to post a personal info.

We need a serious reason to delete threads, sorry.

I didn't ask you to delete the thread. I asked if you could delete the single entry (or redact the other personal info) in the same entry where the email address was redacted. I think the reason is that there is personal info in the entry without the person's consent. That is serious. Sorry, this was my mistake.

I am working on compatibility with many themes right now, so that will come little by little and I believe the extension will be added to the theme itself. In the case of the Photography Theme, I am already in contact with the dev.

I can't really do it faster, because I have a lot of support requests right now and also I am currently blocked in China. I have been robbed (work computer, passport, visa, keys, etc) and can't go back home yet because of my papers.

glad that you are working with ThemeGoods to make their theme compatible. I would ask them to mention compatibility with your theme once it's working. This would probably increase your sales :-)

I've dropped them a line in their Idea-section, too so they can confirm that they nicely work together with your app.

Btw: I've sent you an email about WP Real Media Library. Matthias the developer just told me that he made your requested changes on the API and you should be good to go with finalizing your plugin.

Hey guys,

Just to let you know. The compatibility with WP Real Media Library is almost finished (I am the first to use the API of that plugin, so basically the developer changed a few things and also has to reply to many of my questions) and I am also working on support for Photography Theme.

Lot of work :) I really hope that will bring more users and more HAPPY users to WP/LR Sync :)

I am closing this topic, let's start/discuss independently on those extensions when they are done, it will probably be in the next commit of the plugin (check the release notes).
