James Huff on "Fed up with WordPress."

Ideally, every theme should use the Customizer API, that's why the WordPress developers made a simple API for it. Some theme developers still choose to do otherwise though, there's not much we can do about that.

Okay, so it's up to the developer to develop a customizer that is nothing more than a waste of time, unless they include everything in the 'Theme Options' section?

That and the fact that 'Settings' are all the way at the bottom, which should be directly under Appearance IMO. It doesn't make sense for sections like 'Users' to be thrown in between the two.

WordPress itself doesn't have a way to import settings, just content. Is there a particular plugin you're using for this? If so, which?

I am referring to Theme Options > Backup/restore. This does not work.

Your WordPress installation is entirely self-contained, there is no connection between it and WordPress.org here, hence the need for a separate account here to post here.

I was extremely thrown off by this when I first started and kept trying to log into my account from WordPress.org and thought I was locked out, or something. I think when you are setting up a username during installation and you are then using WordPress, along with having an internet connection, there needs to be a way to have this changed.

We don't really have a way to force email to only display on a particular device, email just doesn't work that way. I'd have to suggest checking with Gmail support on that.

This could be true, it's just very bizarre and adds to my list of issues.

WordPress itself doesn't have a way to manually trigger a maintenance mode, just automatically only during core, plugin, and theme updates. Is there a particular plugin you're using for this? If so, which?

The first instance of my mobile device not displaying what my desktop/dashboard displayed was with a plugin for maintenance mode. The second instance had nothing to do with the plugin, as it shows a Fatal Error message which I have already resolved. Currently, when I access my website from the desktop/dashboard, I see my site. When I look on mobile, it still displays the Fatal Error message. How is that even possible. I am certain this is an issue with WordPress as they are completely unrelated yet I am experiencing the same delayed/not updating issue on mobile.

Thank you for the assistance, I didn't realize someone of help would be replying, so I appreciate that. I left out expletives for you.
