blackbat on "[Plugin: Recent Posts Widget With Thumbnails] Max length of excerpt no longer working as of 4.10.1 update"

The widget is great, but the max length of excerpt setting is no longer working for me. It doesn't matter if I put in 10 or 1000, it's showing the entire excerpt of each of posts all the way up to the read more tag.

Does "No longer working" mean with the previous plugin version you could let display the excerpt longer than up to the "read more" tag?

Thanks for the quick response Martin. I actually only want 70 characters displayed max and the setting isn't working for me anymore.

It's currently showing all of the excerpt before the read more tag, even when I put 10 or 70 max characters limit.

Same for me, doesn't matter what I set it to. It used to work fine. http://seattleteamgear.com. I have it set to 50 characters right now, but it doesn't matter what I set it to.

With the new version 4.10.2 the wrong excerpt length is fixed.

Where does the excerpts come from: from content or excerpt field?
