Is BA for WP compatible with GA4?

@digitalpoint You posted on XenForo.com that BA only works with GA4 and not Universal Analytics. Which makes sense as UA is getting deprecated soon.
The issue I'm struggling with is that BA for WP only accepts UA property IDs. If I try to enter the GA4 ID instead then it will not save it. The profile drop down will only display UA profiles.

Is this a matter of BA for WP not being compatible with GA4 yet or is something going wrong in my GA account?
