Just Updated to WordPress 4.5.

http://mmguys.com/gsmvs/battleground-college-showcase/

"Open Form" button

Supposed to: Click button = Modal open
Actually happening: Click Button = Modal Doesn't Open

https://wordpress.org/plugins/easy-modal/

Any resolution to the mrcandyman83 post? Same thing happened to my site—my eModals are not working after the WordPRess update to version 4.5 on April 13th. I have the following error messages in the Dashboard within the Easy Modal folder after clicking on Load Method:

Waing: mysql_real_escape_string(): No such file or directory in /home/xxxxxxx/xxxxxx.com/wp-content/plugins/easy-modal/classes/view/admin/modal/index.php on line 93

Waing: mysql_real_escape_string(): A link to the server could not be established in /home/xxxxxxx/xxxxxx.com/wp-content/plugins/easy-modal/classes/view/admin/modal/index.php on line 93

I have the latest Easy Modal version of 2.0.17. Only thing not updated is my theme: Divi theme by Elegant Themes. Is it as simple as updating the theme or do I need to reinstall the eModal plugin with the old FTP files? Please provide some guidance. Thank you.

@mrcandyman83 - Based on the jQuery error in the console and that you said it broke on update to WP 4.5 you are looking at a broken theme, not easy modal. You can read more here and here.

@johnnie5 - Without seeing the site I would say check your browser console if you see something like Uncaught Error: Syntax error, unrecognized expression: a.poplight[href^=#] then you will know what the problem is. Whatever file triggers that error will be the problem.

Hope that helps.
