SonicxXx on "[Plugin: Check and Enable GZIP compression] Gzip can not be enabled"

Hello,

I have been trying to enable gzip for my (very slow) site for quite some time now. Whenever I open up the plugin it says' Gzip is not enabled :('. It goes on to tell me that I could save over 80 percent by using Gzip.
After clicking the 'enable gzip compression' box it will say 'You're blessed, Gzip is enabled'. However, when I go to check if it's really enabled on http://checkgzipcompression.com it will tell me it's not enabled. I'm inclined to believe this because my site is still very slow.

When I go back to the plugin, it will once again tell me that gzip is not enabled.

I hope you can help me, I have been fiddling with this for days now!

Hi Milan,

Can you post the contents of the debug link on the bottom of the gzip page? That could help me a bit.

the Site is ruined after enabling and after it says to me that it isn't enabled and cannot be enabled eather diasable it.

ok, I just delete from .htaccess the "# BEGIN GZIP COMPRESSION BY RICHARD'S TOOLBOX
# END GZIP COMPRESSION" lines
