jeremyers1 on "Easy Digital Downloads Playing in Browser instead of Downloading"

I have a strange problem with EDD.

When EDD provides the "Download" links for the customer, some of them download fine, while others play in the browser.

I followed the instructions here https://wordpress.org/support/topic/how-to-force-download-after-clicking-the-mp3-file-link?replies=4 but this did not change the behavior.

What is very strange is that if I use the Blubrry Powerpress plugin and allow it to add the "Download" link under the audio file, ALL the mp3 files download fine and none of them play in the browser. So I know that it is not an issue with the mp3 file or the server settings.

Any ideas?

Where are the files uploaded to? Are they in wp-content/uploads/edd?

I have audio files on four locations.

1. wp-content/uploads/edd
2. Soundcloud
3. Libsyn
4. on my server uploaded via ftp

Files stored in #1 and #2 work fine.
Files stored in #3 and #4 play in browser with EDD instead of download.

All files in #1, #2, #3, and #4 download fine with the Blubrry Powerpress plugin and their "Download" link.
