odyssey1212 on "[Theme: Zerif Lite] Need Help With Making Child Theme, And Other Questions"

Hello, Fellow Developers and Designers

I like this theme Zerif-Lite however I have a few questions.

1) I was told not to ever edit the core (css-php theme) files and so I attempted to make a child theme and I did infact do it, but when I load it in, it does not import my current website's content, has anyone else been able to successfully make a child theme?

2) The reason for my child theme is that I wish to edit the css for the 2 main buttons on my theme to match the colors of my branding without messing up the theme so when it comes to updates I, don't have to keep going in and changing in for every update. .

3) On my website: Odyesseydesignco.com , The banner image is not visibly bright it is as if the theme is putting a layer over it to dim the luminosity of the image itself, I wish to also take this away.

4) On mobile devices the header image is not scaling properly, is anyone else have this issue?

5) Can we make the interactive site just show up without having the interactive parts involved like just making it visible, I like the feature and the effect but sometimes I notice a delay in the interactive sections showing up and wish it would just be a solid page with the sections just there.

6) Is there a way to put a slider below the main header image?

7) How can you add your own css-php pages for the sections to make it more custom and have more control?

8) Does anyone have a good preference on a plug-in for a portfolio to display websites that I build and design?
