Clayton James on "New to Wordpress - Upgraded to premium - struggling to remove site 'bloat'"

I've decided to opt into WordPress to document a coming trip.

I've found the themes to be exactly what I'm looking for, and its a very friendly interface to navigate. But as a anal person - I had to upgrade to premium to remove the wordpress adverts and theme information from the top and bottom of the site.

Since upgrading - the wordpress ads are still there, and I'm struggling to find anyway to remove the wordpress and theme info.
