Okay. Yes, for Custom CSS that's stored in the database, no child theme is necessary to preserve your updates. For some reason I thought you were talking about other customizations besides Custom CSS.

Are all Premium WP Themes similar when it comes to updating & needing to fix? I get super anxious when an Avada update comes out (and they are sooo many & frequent.)

No, not all premium themes are like that.

Some premium theme developers, like myself, don't agree with the "everything but the kitchen sink" philosophy that seems to permeate the industry.

However, this means far less theme options (sometimes even none at all), no bundled slider plugins, and no built-in page builders.

Just high-quality code and design, in a theme where most of the decisions are made for you.
