Hi,
I enabled Jpeg to WebP conversion yesterday with your help.
I just saw my website on firefox and it's messed up! WebP images are being served to firefox and thus I can only see the alt text in the carousel.
Please have a look and help me out.

Plus I would also like to know, what happens if we directly upload webP file? It will still serve jpeg or png file to the browser?

You need to make sure to remove the EWWW rewrite rules from your .htaccess file, that is probably why it is still serving webp to firefox.

If you upload manually, the filenames need to be identical with a .webp added to the end of the filename.

So test.jpg becomes test.jpg.webp

Ok i'll check again after removing the rules..
And about manual uploading, if I upload image.jpg.webp through wordpress media tab, even the resizes will be in the same format?

I don't know that WordPress will accept a .webp file, and it probably will not generate any resizes if you do. It's probably best to just have EWWW generate the .webp files with the JPG/PNG to WebP option.
if uploads are taking too long, you can try the deferred optimization feature, it should help quite a bit (it just delays the optimization for up to an hour).
Make sure to clear the Cloudflare cache after you remove the .htaccess rules too.

Ok So I have both the WebP buttons enabled, ran the bulk optimize option a few times, I see the image.jpg.webP file from my cpanel. But cant see any webp file either on chrome nor on firefox. Any hints?

It looks like all your images are served from a separate domain (static.sprybag.com). That's what is breaking the webp function. EWWW will only rewrite images that are served from your "home url/domain"... for now. In a few months, I'm going to start working on a function that will let you specify an alteate domain, as well as force webp generation for ALL images, to support those sorts of setups.
