iheartcake on "[Plugin: WP REST API Meta Endpoints] What does this plugin do?"

I truly don't have any idea what this plugin does. Is it for creating endpoints exclusively for meta values? I notice that with the WP REST API plugin and without this, I am able to access the meta values I need, so I am unclear of whether I might need this at all.
