Bart van Maanen on "[Plugin: Genesis Simple Share] LinkedIn Share Button Conflict"

We're seeing an error when trying to add the LinkedIn button to the share bar. The console is now showing a 400 error when trying to load the https://www.linkedin.com/countserv/count/share link - When loading that link it retus "Invalid Callback Parameter" - This seems like a very new issue, like in the last day or so - perhaps LinkedIn made some updates? Any ideas?

It looks as though LinkedIn may have changed their API to no longer accept punctuation or numbers as part of the count API URL. I couldn't find any documentation to confirm this, but these requests fail:

- https://www.linkedin.com/countserv/count/share?format=jsonp&url=http%3A%2F%2Fexample.com&callback=123

- https://www.linkedin.com/countserv/count/share?format=jsonp&url=http%3A%2F%2Fexample.com&callback=a_b_c

Where as this one succeeds:

- https://www.linkedin.com/countserv/count/share?format=jsonp&url=http%3A%2F%2Fexample.com&callback=abc

I've logged this issue with the StudioPress team, and a fix is being tested.
