jstep7262 on "Is import w/o sql file possible?"

Hey guys. I had my website hosted by a company and didn't have access to add additional plugins to export and didn't have cpanel or FTP access. Yes-hindsight is 20/20, so I know how stupid that was.

Owner of the company went awol and I needed to move my site ASAP. Couldn't get ahold of the owner so figured I was going to have to start from scratch unfortunately.

Owner finally contacted me and sent me my files via Dropbox, but all I see are jpgs and two xml files-one being the site map and one that is lots of code but also has my previous blog post text, etc. and is roughly 2.4mb. I don't see a sql file or anything. Am I able to restore my site with just this? Im thinking not. What would I need beside the all file?

You can use TOOLS -> IMPORT to import the wordpress XML file; you *may* not get all the images (but we can work around that). You will not get any theme or plugin settings.
