Please can anyone tell me how I point my domain name (crazydomains) to my wordpress site I am building

From your domain admin panel , use redirect feature to point it in your wordpress site.

I have been told I need to find out my name servers? How can I get this from wordpress. I don't know what I am pointing it to

There is no hosting at WordPress.org. We only develop, support, and distribute the software (which you then install on a hosting provider).

Who is your hosting provider, or more specifically, who are you paying monthly (or annually) to host your site?

Again, WordPress.org is not a hosting provider.

I contacted them and it asked for name servers ??? so how do I connect my site to something I have no info about?

how can I point my domain to nowhere? Is there no co-ordinate for my won site?

I don't know what you mean. Have you set up your WordPress site yet? If so, where is it now?

ok so I know you think I am a donut lol but worst thing is crazy domains is just for my domain however I have ipage hosting so I should contact them and say to them exactly what? My site isn't finished but need to make it live to fix an issue with a plug in I have and want to have it up pretty quick anyway

Ok, then you need to contact iPage and ask them for the name servers of your hosting account. :)

then where do I add that? lol :S

Then you follow your domain registrar's instructions on how to add that to your domain.

All of this different for most hosting providers and domain registrars, so I really can't offer any specifics.

ok so I been on a jouey lol. I am down to the upload files part but I don't know what file to upoload in mysql thingy it says browse I open my wordpress folder but I can not see any .sql file

Are you installing a new site, or moving an old site?

now i am competeley lost and it is not clear exactly what I am supposed to be doing. I just want to point my web doain to my site???? this is saying changing urls back up files ehat files?

1. Have you built your WordPress site? (yes or no)

2. If yes, where is it currently hosted? (localhost, or with a specific hosting provider (and if so, who))

3. Again if yes to 1, who is the hosting provider you're moving it to?

Those steps will help you get the site from localhost to iPage.

ok so download what files? from where? and change what domain name? and move everything to where? its all not very clear for me

Since it's localhost, you'll simply be taking the files from your computer and uploading them to the hosting provider.

As for the question "Change what domain?" in all of those similar steps, you're changing from localhost to your new domain name.

The files are all of the files in the WordPress directory. Copy those to your hosting provider.

The database is under MySQL on your localhost server.

The instructions are incredibly similar to backing up your installation and restoring it, only you'll be restoring it on iPage.

Perhaps https://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_Backups will be simpler.

About how much of the site have you built and customized on localhost?
