Yes, it really doesn't matter where Google Analytics goes on a page, but Google Tag Manager should go directly after <body>.

hello , i installed the adsense plugin (by google) and it worked out very well on my homepage, post page, category page, sidebars etc. After yesterday, maybe because i made changes to one of my page, all ads disappeared and the plugin told me because of change of site configuration. I tried to delete the plugin and reinstall, it does not work either, and even the error msg disappeared. I inspected my post page, the adsense code is still within the page, I don't understand why it does not show any ads.Any one can help?

(I manully inserted two codes in this post and it seems this method works fine, as it needs more manual work, so i still want to find out the plugin method )

In situation 2, you do have a exist page for homepage. It's possible to set multiple titles with your plugin.

But in situation 1, the homepage is just a collection of latest posts. The <title> is controlled by Setting > Site Title and Tagline.
In that case, I can't place multiple titles on the homepage.

To change the footer text you can do it via translation plugins to french from English, as the theme doesn't provide changing footer text flexibility in the free theme,

Or you can build a child theme and edit the footer text there.

Or if you want a simpler solution you can just upgrade to pro version which gives you option to edit the text, and even add some more on it via customizer.

So, we got it fixed by taking everything off and going a fresh install from a backup. That fixed the image problem for the two sites we got through, but they started having other issues.

It seems it was just a small hill of issues with things being done a bit poorly from the start.

Good news, I've now leaed how to build a site on a localhost and I've got hosting to transfer over next week when I've got things rebuilt.

Thanks for trying to get things settled. But after 3 weeks of working on it, I think finishing rebuilding may be less stressful than chasing errors.

Seems like you already fixed your issue?
The logo seems larger.
If you want to re-size the images without having to worry about the code, you can always use plugins like simple image re-size plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/simple-image-sizes/

and you can custom define the dimensions for most of the image defined on the theme.
