ac1643 on "[Plugin: Contact Form 7] Textarea won't display on iOS!"

I have encountered a strange bug that prevents a textarea from displaying in iOS safari if the textarea field name = comment, Comment, Idea, or Comments but not COMMENT or COMMENTS.

Also id = Idea or Comments but not comment, Comment, COMMENT, or COMMENTS

The affected textarea always displays fine on desktop Safari, Chrome and FF.

Using the latest CF7 plugin and WordPress.

Baffling and frustrating to say the least. Any ideas?

Just to add to this, for some reason I'm finding that Date formatted areas are not displaying in safari. It just shows a round circle rather than dd/mm/yyyy/.
