Hello,

I am playing with custom capabilities and have not found a way to achieve my goal.

I would like to: Restrict page access to a single user. For example: User Jondoe is the only one who can view his home page(www.example.com/jondoe-homepage)

how do you do this?

https://wordpress.org/plugins/s2member/

On the edit screen for your page, you should see an s2Member box.

For Page Level Restriction? you can either leave this blank or select a level.

For Require Custom Capabilities? type in your ccap for the individual user.

Hit Update

Now select the user that you have in mind. Scroll to Role and put in a level equal to or higher than the level you specified for the page. Then scroll down to Custom Capabilities Type the same ccap there.

Hit Update User

Ok there must be something wrong because when I restrict access it does not restrict the page, even if your not logged in it will let you visit the page even though I set the restriction level to 0. I think this must be the reason the custom cap. is not working. do you know how to fix it?

Have you created a Membership Options Page? See Getting Started

No page or post protections will work until you have because, until then, there's nothing to redirect to when someone does not have the appropriate credentials.
