Image uploads failing with "HTTP Error" showing up. Images are .jpg at 72 dpi resolution and no more than 600KB. The web site has been in existence for several years. I'm just trying to update some photos. A recent string was closed but my problem still exists. Suggestions offered included adding code in "Theme" but the word "Theme" doesn't show up on my dashboard. If you couldn't already tell, I'm a novice with web site editing so the language used in replies are often very confusing to me. Sorry.

Have you tried:
-deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).
-switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

If there are any plugins on this site I am unaware of them. I didn't create it I'm only trying to update it but I don't see anywhere on the dashboard anything about any plugins. I'm sorry for my ignorance. I don't even know how to "switch to the default theme". The word "Theme" doesn't appear on my dashboard so I don't know how to get there. The link to the web site is http://www.coyabafarms.com.

You are using a child theme for BroadScope which is no longer available.

Since it is a commercial theme it is not supported in this forum.
I can still try some basic debugs.

Try a few things. Under Upload New Media you will see
You are using the browser’s built-in file uploader. The WordPress uploader includes multiple file selection and drag and drop capability. Switch to the multi-file uploader. Try the other uploader.

On the dashboard under appearance you will find themes. If twenty sixteen is there switch to that. Below the word appearance is the word plugins. There you can see what plugins are active and disable them.

The website show a designer, http://www.kriesi.at/support/topic/having-problems-after-updating-to-wordpress-4-5-please-read-this-first/

If they designed the site then that is who you go to for support.

Forum volunteers are not given access to commercial products, so they would not know why it is not working properly. Other community members who may have faced your issue might be able to help you but your best bet is your product's developer. Keep in mind we encourage you to use the official support venues, as it allows the developers to be aware of issues with their code and gives back to the community in a more robust way.

I'm really sorry but the word "Appearance" doesn't appear anywhere on my dashboard page. In fact, the tool bar on the left side of the page contains only the following options:
Posts
Media
Links
Pages
Portfolio Items
Profile
Tools
Collapse menu

Thanks for trying to help. I'll reach out to the designer for some help. Is there a way I can change the theme to something that is supported?

Wow. You are missing some important things, plugins, settings, etc.

Make sure you have a backup of the database. Everything is in there as far as content, users, passwords, etc. Also make sure you have a backup or copy of wp-content/uploads. That is where all of your graphics are stored.

Is there a way I can change the theme to something that is supported?

Do you have a folder called wp-content/themes? Anything in it?

I just ran a search for wp-content/themes and no such folder exists on my computer. Again, I didn't create the site. I have been asked to update it (after several years of neglect) and have received the necessary "permissions" to get it done. Seems there are many issues to overcome.
