... and I received a waing notice from my web host about quota and terms & conditions regarding backups stored on their space.
My normal "Complete Monthly" schedule had been working fine for years. I did not create this second, surprise "Complete Daily" schedule.
Any idea how this could have happened? And how to avoid it happening again in future?
It might have happened due to an update - did you recently update the plugin? You can delete the extra schedule by going under settings when you've clicked on the schedule.

I usually update everything as soon as updates are available. I have deleted the extra schedule, which was clear and straightforward to do. My conce now is how to prevent this from happening again?
