goldenlaser on "newsletter doesn't work"

i installed newsletter plugin, and add the Newsletter Widget to the sidebar,when i subscribe my eamil,i can't receive an confirmation email from wordpress.

i also don't know how to fill in the SMTP SETTINGS

and when i completed SMTP configuration,the page was simply blank,i don't know how to solve this problem

Hi from the error you reported you have not set the hostname for the SMTP. If you have not SMTP details, do not activate it. You provider should support the mail sending without SMTP.

i already asked the host provider,hostgator,but the problem still can't be solved

No, i enable the SMTP from Newsletter, i use hostgator domain and host

Ok, now the error is different: you get back a message about a non existing email address. I image you tested with [email protected] which is reported as non existant address.
