Michael on "How to stop the header banner picture fading when moused over"

I would like to stop the header banner picture from fading or changing colour when moused over. I'm using the twentysixteen template.

open up page in chrome right click and inspect the element (your picture)
above the style rules, you will see :hov which is mouse over event, toggle the event for your image (hover).
check the style applied for it and change it possibly opacity has been given to image/picture. change it to none.

Hi there, thanks for your reply, but I'm afraid I will need a bit more help. I've opened the site with chrome and right clicked to inspect the header banner. I see the :hov which can be clicked to show 'force element state', but I can't seem to find the style applied to it. Well I did once and now I can't seem to find it again!! I saw it had an opacity. Firstly please could you help me find it again and then do I just copy out the rule in my child's theme CSS and change the value to 0?

so I added this to the stylesheet.css of my child theme

.header-image a:focus img {
opacity: 0;
}

but it doesn't seem to have done anything.
I'll wait a while and see what happens.

Thanks. I've added that to the child theme style sheet but no change yet. I'll leave it for a bit and check again to see if it has stopped fading.

please clear your browser cache either by reloading the page or whatever your broeser needs.

I see the effect gone when I view your site for example in Chrome.
