bmw0613 on "[Theme: Tonic] No information visible on Home Page under widgets"

I am using the free Tonic theme and have added the home page widgets. When I try to add additional information to the home page under the home page widgets, nothing is showing up. I have tried to remove the widgets, but I still have nothing showing up on the home page and I'm not sure what is going on.
