Hi there,
If you're getting a 404 error, try asking your host to check for mod_security rule conflicts.

If the panel isn't saving, and instead saying there is nothing to save, try installing the plugin Core Control, and going to Tools->Core Control, check the box for Remote HTTP Access, and then save. Once the page refreshes, at the top of the page, click on the URL for Remote HTTP Access. A page will show that will let you test the HTTP transport layers WordPress has detected for your site. Click on the "Test Transport" link next to cURL.

If this fails, click on the one next to streams. If only cURL fails, ask your host to upgrade your cURL version as you're probably behind the latest version. If both cURL and stream fail, ask your host to fix your website's firewall settings, as your hosting provider is blocking legitimate outbound calls via wp_remote_get/post.
