I have a number of sites where I installed this as bulk install and couldn't figure out why the reports weren't showing.
I saw your note on another ticket about deactivating and re-activating - which created the 3 tables and now it seems to be working fine.
I would suggest a check on the reports page (and the options page) which displays an alert if the tables are not created which could have a link to deactivate or even code to create the tables
