I just downloaded a new theme and was trying to install it but kept getting the same error. While uploading through the WP Theme Installer on the Dashboard I got the error "Theme failed install. No style.css file found." Yet I have several files titled that in the folder. So i came across some solutions that called for all the files to be placed in the primary folder. I did that, but I still get the SAME error or I get "install failed. Parent themes need index.php file", yet the downloaded file doesn't come with an index.php file..at all. Unless I'm missing something, I feel like I got scammed out of my money.

I'm sorry, but as you are using a commercial WordPress theme, you need to seek support from your theme's vendors. After all, that's part of what you paid for. Here, we only support themes that were obtained from the official W.org theme repository.
