davpeterson on "[Plugin: Caldera Forms] calculated fields aren't showing up on webpage"

Hello, i'm running Caldera Forms 1.3.5.3 on SiteGround web hosting, i can create a very simple form that has a drop-down selection box with labels and values of 1, 2, and 3 for the options, and then i create a calculation field and only give it one calculation value -- the value of the selection box choice.

When i preview this form in the Caldera plugin, it works perfectly -- the calculation field display is updated automatically whenever i change the value.

However, when i insert the form into a wordpress page, it completely stops working -- the calculation field displays an empty value, no matter what selection i make in the dropdown box.

I don't understand what could possibly be causing this, i would assume the 'preview mode' would work the same as the live form. Anyone have any ideas what i could possibly be doing wrong??
