Vayu Robins on "Main site loses permalink sometimes and returns 404"

Hi Bet, thank you very much for trying to help! :-)

I don't see any changes in the htaccess file and the date-of-change has not changed either. So that is why I wonder if there are some setting, that could have changed.

I did check the hosting logs, but did not find anything suspicious. However, I don't really know what I am looking for, so I could have missed something. I did check with the hosting support and they could not find any known issues, mod_rewrite is enabled.

A few days ago I disabled a plugin (WordPress Helpers Version 1.9.8) and the problem has not happened since. I still don't know if the problem has gone away and must test the site more days. I will try to write to Piklist and ask them if they have any idea of, if their plugin could affect the site in that way.

I cross my fingers and hope that I have sort of found the solution. The WordPress Helpers plugin is a plugin I can live without, should it be the cause of the problem.
