I need to extend Woocommerce to include bank payment gateway but the bank requires payment gateway files set up in root directory of WordPress install.

Will it work being set up in WP root? If so, how is this done?

Not really sure what you mean - if you're building a payment gateway thats out of scope for core support. I presume it would be possible to place files anywhere you want on your server in your implementation so I don't see an issue there.

Thanks Mike, needed to clarify whether it can be done because all other Woocommerce payment gateway extensions have seen are set up in plugins folder(I understand this proper way), never in WP root.

Is there Woocommerce premium paid support? Willing to sign up if there is.

Do not need support in payment gateway implementation. Rather, how to connect integrate it with Woocommerce from WP root please.
