Used the yoast version for years - not without any issues, but always solved - on all my sites. This one just don't work. Maybe it's a clash with another plugin but I can't spend hours to check out on 20+ websites what is causing the drama.
Besides: free does not mean 'free to ask you for money on every occasion we can find'.
