contentiskey on "Menu not linking to categories properly"

Hello,

I just made a switch from theme Duotive, to twenty sixteen, and now all my content is on my homepage, and none of the options on my main menu link to the correct categories anymore.

In Duotive, categories were saved as pages, so this may cause some transfer issues, I realize..

I have been searching for a while and cannot find anything of substance.

Any leads are much appreciated!
