sterndata on "Upgrade to 4.5.2 - Dies after 9 - 10 seconds..."

Trying to upgrade via the Big Blue Button to 4.5.2 and after about 8 - 10 seconds, the message stops at "unpacking package" or whatever the message is and dies. Browser "think wheel" stops spinning etc.

I have never seen this issue when upgrading wordpress via back-end - any idea on the causes?

I know manual upgrade is probably my only option at this point, just don't want to!..

Do you have enough free space on your server? If this is a server you manage, do a "df -h" on a command line and see if you have any partitions running close to full.

unfortunately, I do not manage the servers (Corporate IIS 7 Servers) that run through our IT department. I guess I will have to check with them on this one.

Running WordPress on IIS brings its own special set of challenges. Good luck.

I have been working with wordpress on IIS for the past 2 years now and still run into the little "gremlins" here and there.. and it doesn't help when you're IT team has very little knowledge of wordpress or it's requirements. :(
