If anyone else has this issue. We are running a WordPress site and started having slowness issues with server response times. To make a long story short, we had to remove the Elastic IP and associate a new one to our instance. It worked immediately. No more slowness. Also, make sure you make the proper changes to MySQL wp-options table.
