jordancahill on "How to Edit the Menu (Font Size) for My Theme"

Hello!

I am using the Business World theme to design my professor's website, currently:

You can see that the menu navigates to many pages. I'm hoping to make the Menu font smaller and the spacing between the Page names smaller so that all of the Menu Pages appear on one line. I would then like to make the white space of the Menu itself fit the words.

If this makes the line too crowded, I would still like to minimize the Menu font size, in addition to fitting the U.T. image to whatever size I make the Menu to.

This is my first time making a website and I have no experience coding.

I believe that I should go to Appearance > Editor > Stylesheet (style.css) and edit the code there. I have not been able to find the correct locations where I would make these changes to the code based on other forum questions, so I'm hoping for a specific response to fit my website.

I also saw answers referring to a child theme. I have a vague understanding of what this is. If this were the method I need to edit my theme by, I would again need very specific instruction.
