In your instruction on how to add custom form fields, the first step is to use the appropriate Give hook. Where can I add this give hook? Is it that I can access this by going to Plugins>Installed plugins>Give edit?

Sorry for asking a silly question, but for a non-developer, I don't know what "myprefix" represents or means in the first piece of code. Can you tell me what it means and how I can change this text to be customized to my site?

Hi @maunuocmat94 - Hooks are how you can tie into Give code and execute code to achieve an object. In this example, we're talking about adding custom form fields within the donation form. Each donation form has various hooks at certain points in the code. If you wanted to add fields above the payment gateways for instance, there's a hook for that.

The documentation you linked to is really meant for developers who have a basic understanding of what I just mentioned. My apologies, but we don't provide step by step instructions for particular use cases. We do have a Form Field Manager plugin to applies a no code approach to adding form fields. This may better suit your needs. If you're looking to still work with the code above, we have an article on how to add custom code to your WordPress site that may be helpful to review: https://givewp.com/documentation/resources/adding-custom-functions-to-your-wordpress-website/

Thanks for your question!

Hi Devin, thanks for your reply. I just have one more question about the myprefix thingy. What can I replace it with to make the code work for my site?
