cavemanwp on "[Plugin: WPSiteSync for Content] Authentication - red x beside password, "No authentication Token found" or..."

Hello Team,

Pls add me to the list of peeps getting this result:

Authentication - red x beside password, "No authentication Token found" or "Did not receive a success token from target site" (or similar; the last error message is paraphrased from memory.

I've disabled all plugins, and used WPSiteSync as the only plugin between local/dev and live sites...with same result.

This seems to have started popping up once I changed my live and local/dev sites to a subdirectory WP core install (for example from http://mywpsite.tld/wp-login.php to http://mywpsite.tld/mywpcoredir/wp-login.php)

I was able to get the plugin to work (the last version before the RC release worked) with the standard wp install (wpcore files not in a subdirectory.)

I noticed that setting the target site url in the settings to http://mywpsite.tld/mywpcoredir briefly resulted in a "green x", but quickly reverted back to a "red x" and stays there.

Has the plugin been tested in a WP-core files in sub-directory install scenario?

Let me know what you need from me to help figure this out. So far, I've deleted everything (localhost and live sites) and setup a new live site and a new localhost dev site, also, I've deleted the plugin, blown away files in WP-Content/plugins/wpsitesync dir (via Cpanel file-manager) just to make sure things were cleaned out, reinstalled WPSiteSync for Content (Ver 1.0) from scratch... I consistently got/get the same failure results with both the RC version and version 1.0 of the plug-in.

Also, I'm getting the errors using both DesktopServer Pro for my local dev stack, and as of yesterday--sames errors--with a fresh XAMPP local stack install. (I had to stop using DTS Pro for localhost due to it's inability to allow a WP-core subdirectory local WP-site install which WP Migrate DP Pro plugin requires (subdirectory structure/names for WP-core install must match between sites.)

BTW, as encouragement, you're on to something HUGE here. I'd happily pay $50 annual license (with a $30 annual renewal license after the first year) for this tool. You've hit on a huge need for the average WordPress end-user.

As it is now, the only iron-clad, bullet-proof-performing plugin tool in your same space (that I've found/used) is WP Migrate DB Pro. It's an awesome plugin (I just renewed my annnual license), but it's both costly and definitely feature-over-kill for the non-developer WordPress-end-user like myself who simply wants to write and publish content on a local site and then push it/sync to a live site when desired.

Thanks.

Cheers
