Bilonix on "How do I make these images fit? Ariel Theme"

Hey everyone! So I have my site, http://www.secondincomesurveys.com, I have it set up so that my posts show up on the front on the top of the page as you can see, but there is a weird gap that two of the pictures have, though all the pictures are roughly the same size 1000x 650x - Ive tried many sizes, very big, upwards up 3000, and even down to 400, they still have that gap, im wondering if and how i would go into CSS and fix that? I just want them all even haha

Go to Appearance > Editor and add this below css lines to css file:

.thumbnail-media{ width:100%; height:100%;}
.thumbnail-media a{ height:100%}
.thumbnail-media img{ height:100%; max-width:100%}

Thank you for the suggestion but it didn't change anything sadly :(

Oh, it should have worked. Do you use a child-theme? If yes, add those css code into /yourtheme-child/style.css

Perhaps Im not sure where to post the code? Im not very good with it, I've opened up the editor but im not sure where to place the code ive copied.

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '.' in /home2/wacqxo0abrdi/public_html/wp-content/themes/layers-aerial/functions.php on line 232 - I get this now :( Oh no. I dont knowhow to fix it, I deleted what I pasted into the functions.php thing.
