For some reason, after I add my API useame, password, and signature and click “save changes,” my API useame defaults back to my wordpress useame and the textbook tus yellow. I have attempted to correct this several times, but it keeps happening. Any suggestions?

It sounds like you might have some auto-saved information that's somehow being auto-filled by either your browser or a browser extension.

Do you have any password management utilities installed on your browser that might be doing this which you could disable and try again?

What browser are you using? Could you try this in another (non-primary use) browser and see if the same issue is occurring?

The yellow background for the textbox is something that happens with Chrome auto filling of passwords. Perhaps you can check your Chrome auto-fill password settings. You can see this article about how to manage Chrome auto fill and possible disable momentarily to see if that fixes it: https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/142893?co=GENIE.Platform%3DDesktop&hl=en. FireFox has similar capabilities and can likely be disabled as well.
