Just installed the lastest update and unable to get back into site until I renamed plugin. Got the following error:

Waing: require_once(/home/k4eur6/public_html/wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/src/Tribe/Main.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/k4eur6/public_html/wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/the-events-calendar.php on line 32

Fatal error: require_once(): Failed opening required '/home/k4eur6/public_html/wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/src/Tribe/Main.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/k4eur6/public_html/wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/the-events-calendar.php on line 32

Same here, same error. 500'd my site, had to go into the server and rm -rf the-events-calendar plugin to get it back.

Where can I get older releases?

I also received the same error. What is the solution for fixing the site?

Oh, just renaming the PHP file name for "the-events-calendar" plugin? I see, though that naturally removes functionality from it for now.

Just upgraded for one of my bigger clients and took my entire site down. This is the second time an update has cause this in the past few months. Would love a quick fix or a download link to the previous version

Same error on my sites too.

For now, access your server via SFTP or FTP, or a file manager in your hosting account's control panel, navigate to /wp-content/plugins/ and delete the entire /the-events-calendar/ directory.

Then, download the previous version from https://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/the-events-calendar.4.2.1.1.zip expand the .zip file, and upload the /the-events-calendar/ folder to your /wp-content/plugins/ directory and activate the plugin again from your Dashboard's Plugins section.

In my experience, your Events page will be 404 Not Found until you re-save your Events Calendar settings.

Fingers crossed for a quick (and better) solution for the developers. :)

Will deleting the entire directory also remove all of the events that had been previously added?

No, those are all safely stored in your MySQL database.
