Now, all downloads are via HTTP/Apache.
I wonder if it is possible to have the download link via FTP, but not via HTTP.
That FTP is password protected.

Because hosting denied access to large files due to security

I'm afraid FTP would not work. You could try hosting the files on services like Google Drive, or Amazon and then use our add-ons to offer downloads.
